Zoë gained a degree in English and Drama from Birmingham University, before training at Mountview Theatre School.
Her recent theatre roles include: The Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music (Larnaca International Festival, Cyprus); Mrs Pearce in My Fair Lady (Danish tour); Mrs Hennessy in Next Door’s Baby (Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond); Lucretia Golightly in The Burglar’s Opera (UK tour); Mrs McIlhenny in Do I Hear a Waltz? (Landor Theatre); Mrs McGee in Corpse! and Dee Jobson in Roleplay, both at the English Theatre of Hamburg; Mrs Mullin in Carousel (UK tour); and the Wardrobe Mistress and Confidante in The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty’s Theatre, London). This was her third season in The Phantom of the Opera, having also appeared in productions at Manchester Opera House and in Antwerp, Belgium, where it was performed in Flemish! Her other theatre work includes: Into the Woods (Byre Theatre, St Andrews); Cinderella (Northcott, Exeter); I’d Rather Be Right (Fortune Theatre, London); Strike Up the Band (Barbican Concert Hall); Ridgeway’s Late Joys (Players’ Theatre); Glamorous Nights – A Tribute to Ivor Novello (Prince Regent, Farnborough); Dick Whittington (Weston-Super-Mare); Daisy Pulls It Off and Orange Nell (both with the Characters’ Company); My Cousin Maureen (East End Theatre Company); The King and I (Sadler’s Wells and UK tour); Oklahoma! (Cambridge Arts); Brigadoon (Victoria Palace); The Pirates of Penzance (Manchester Opera House and Theatre Royal, Plymouth); Robinson Crusoe (Forum, Billingham); Annie (Connaught Theatre, Worthing); The Mating Game (UK tour); The Mastersingers of Nuremberg (English National Opera); Superted (Theatr Clwyd and tour); and Knickerbocker Holiday, Plain and Fancy, Leave It to Me!, Flahooley, Hollywood Pinafore, and Stephen Sondheim’s The Frogs (all The Lost Musicals at the Barbican).
Zoë has been seen on television in May Contain Nuts (Tiger Aspect/ITV1) and Peak Practice (Carlton Television); appeared in the films Apparently (Operating Productions) and Pane (Monad Productions); and in commercials for Nokia and Campaign magazine. She has sung on radio in Strike Up the Band (BBC Radio 3) and can be heard on the TER soundtrack recording of Brigadoon.
