Steve’s West End credits include the Constable in Fiddler on the Roof (Savoy); Aladdin (Old Vic); Noises Off (Piccadilly); Jesus Christ Superstar (Lyceum); Hard Times (Theatre Royal Haymarket); Chess (Prince Edward); Annie Get Your Gun (Aldwych) and Underneath the Arches (Prince of Wales). Other theatre includes: Olin Brit in The Music Man (Chichester Festival Theatre); Caiaphas in the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, Bascombe in Carousel (Chichester Festival Theatre); the Sheriff in the national tour of Whistle Down the Wind, Lord Montague in Romeo and Juliet (Old Rep Theatre, Birmingham); Jaggers in Great Expectations (Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham/tour); and Father in The Little Match Girl (Lyric Hammersmith).
Steve has played dame on several occasions and has also written and directed pantomimes, including possibly the longest-running one in the country for Butlins resort in Bognor Regis in 2007…the show ran from April to February! Earlier this year Steve was seen as mad Professor Stinkworth in the new CBBC comedy Scoop starring Shaun Williamson. Other television credits include: EastEnders, Gary in Only Fools and Horses, Tim Parkes in Back Up, Hancock in The Jump and appearances in Birds of a Feather, Shooting to Stardom, Nelson’s Column and The Bill.
For the last three years Steve has combined performing with teaching acting to students doing the BTEC Performing Arts National Diploma at the Negus Sixth Form College in south-east London.
